Voices of Donation
Rebecca Perry
Rebecca Leeann Perry, a 22-year-old senior nursing student at the University of North Florida, was struck by a car when crossing the eastbound lane on her way to work early one morning.
“She was a special, caring person,” said Melissa Perry, Rebecca’s mother. “She was also a talented artist with a giving spirit.”
At such a young age, Rebecca was a very ambitious woman with a big heart. She was a home healthcare nurse for both terminally and medically complex children.
“Becca was working and going to school full time,” Melissa said. “[She had] a goal to be a nurse practitioner and adopt medically complex children.”
Melissa said that because she had such a giving heart, she previously declared she wanted to be a donor.
“She would want to give to help others,” her mother said.
